Fire Prevention Week October 3-9, 2004

Greg Milby and Hollie Sexton of WQXE Radio broadcast the "Everything You Need to Know When You're On the Go Morning Show" live from Elizabethtown Fire Station 2 on Friday morning, October 8, 2004, to commemorate Fire Prevention Week.  During the broadcast Greg and Hollie competed in a race to don full turnout gear.  Firefighters Dale Hunt and William Mullins assisted the two into their SCBAs, while Fire Investigator Rusty Todd refereed the contest.  Greg and Hollie agreed prior to the race that the loser would scrub the fire station toilets.  (Sorry, Hollie!) 

Between interviews, Rusty Todd assisted Greg with mascot duties.

The broadcast lasted from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.  Elizabethtown Fire Department provided WQXE with several smoke detectors, which the station gave away to callers throughout the day.
