At 4 a.m. Sunday, March 16, 2003, Sonora Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Davenport Lane.  Glendale, Upton, Buffalo and LaRue County Fire Departments provided mutual aid.  A 16,000 square foot farm warehouse was fully involved.  The building housed a variety of equipment including eight semi tractors, eleven trailers, six farm tractors, two riding mowers, and other farm implements, machinery and tools.  Loss was estimated at $2 million.  Cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Kentucky State Fire Marshal's office.
