3rd Annual Red ◊ Blue Game
The 3rd Annual Red ◊ Blue Game was played at 2 p.m. November 28, 2004, at Central Hardin High School. Members of police and fire departments from throughout Hardin County comprised the two teams. The game remained scoreless until the fourth quarter, when the Fire scored a touchdown with just over six minutes remaining in the game. The Fire defeated the Lawdogs by a score of 7 to 0.
Media Bowl I
The Central Hardin High School Bruin’s cheerleaders and the Louisville Fire football team mascot, Axe, entertained the crowd during the Red ◊ Blue game. They were joined at halftime by DJ the WQXE mascot and Newsie the News-Enterprise mascot while teams of employees representing Quicksie 98.3 and the News-Enterprise competed in Media Bowl I, a flag football game. The News-Enterprise team won with a score of 28 to 16.
